The MedInnovate Directors have over more than 20 years conducted both small strategy projects with the highest level of client and carried out some of the largest change programme and post merger integration projects in the industry.  We continue to advise and support senior management as they deal with the issues of what their organisations should be and how that is to be achieved.
Representative engagements:

Helping to build a global, world class drug development function from businesses based in Germany, France and the United States. This involved analyses of organisational and process models and a change management strategy to achieve a successful transition.

Developing a drug research strategy for a major pharmaceutical company with centres on multiple sites to ensure that they worked together to common standards and a unified vision.

Leading post-merger integration of two global Development functions. A 2 year programme covering 5 development centres across US and Europe with 10,000 staff. The scope included development strategy, organisation design, commercial and development operations. The aim was to restore performance to pre-merger levels and then create a unified, world class development organisation.

Leading business strategy and change management for the European Division of a major Japanese company. This 18 month programme covered the setting up of an autonomous European development region within the company, setting the business strategy, creating and implementing the organisation design for functions and teams and the design and implementation of a new governance structure.

Producing a report for the Ministerial Industry Strategy Group about the attractiveness of the UK as a location for commercial clinical research. This work included extensive analyses of existing data sources to produce new insights into the UK market share for industry sponsored clinical trials, identified root causes and made recommendations for changes in Government policy."

Planning the setting up of a national bio-repository. The objective of the project was to understand the value and benefits of creating a national Bio-Repository. It involved identifying the real and perceived barriers to the creation of the Repository, defining its operating model and business case and setting out an overall plan to create the facility.

Supporting the establishment of a Centre for Accelerating Medical Innovations with an initial focus on pharmaceutical Research and Development. This Centre brings together a wide variety of academic disciplines to work with industry and government to investigate, develop and test new models for drug development."

Supporting the CEO and CFO of a major CRO to develop a clear understanding of opportunities and issues facing the business after it had grown through a series of acquisitions. Helped to develop a refreshed set of strategic priorities and options for new organisational structures. This work consisted of reviewing existing documentation, interviews of employees and discussions with customers.

Providing organisation redesign and change management for the European division of a major Japanese R&D division. Providing metrics and performance management in Development. Over the past 15 years MedInnovate Directors have worked with heads of development, and function heads to define the indicators needed to ensure their strategies were being carried out and to manage day to day business across functions, teams , regions countries and processes. {We} have created management information systems, integrated management reporting, built performance metrics groups to analyse and report performance data and supported development and function heads in interpreting and acting on information to improve performance.
